English Translation
I was a glowing ember in the dark, a spark longing to break free. So many nights I spent dreaming of another place. I cross this uncertain threshold with no clue where it will lead. Now I am a wildfire, leaving my shadow up in flames. I sing in freedom. I live among the ashes and the smoke that covered me. I was more impulse than voice, I was a fire that could not burn, short of breath. Today I yield myself to the wind, though it makes me sway. If my flame begins to tremble, I hold my ground. I choose to burn brighter. Does what no one names give light? Will anyone answer? The ember is my shadow. I blow on it, and sing again.
