Muralista is where a room gets drawn before anyone is standing in it. It settles which surfaces the words and the films can use, how large each one is, and what belongs in it.

YOUR WALL, NOT A RECTANGLE

A projector gives you one rectangle. A room gives you a doorway in the only good wall, a screen hung too high, a beam across the stage, a window that will still be bright at nine. Put the words in the rectangle and half of them land where nobody is looking.

Muralista lets you mark the surfaces that are really there, on a picture of the real room, with the projector standing where it will stand at the gig. What you mark is what gets filled.

You do this at the venue once. After that the room is yours to rearrange from home, without going back.

WHAT COMES BACK

One file, and it is the room: the surfaces you marked, how large each one is, and what each is for. Plain readable text, like everything else here.

That is the file Pregonero reads at the gig to know where a line goes.

ONE SITTING AT THE VENUE

With the projector and the camera standing where they will stand at the gig. You have the projector paint a white frame so its lit rectangle is visible, put four handles on the corners of it, and from then on the tool sees the room the way the projector does.

Then you mark the surfaces you want and say what each one is for. That is the whole cost.

WHAT IT LEAVES ALONE

It never changes your files. Your videos, your pictures and your songs stay where they are and as they are.

It decides where things go in the room, not what they are. Which song, which film, which words: those are settled elsewhere, and Muralista does not reach into them.

SHAPES

The room, live through the camera and squared up to the way the projector sees it. You draw the surfaces you want to use, drag them where they belong, and say what each one is for.

Muralista's shapes step: a photograph of the room with one marked surface drawn over the projector's lit rectangle and numbered at its corners, and a panel beside it holding that shape's name, its type and its stand-in text.

OUTPUT

A photograph of your shapes lit on the actual wall, taken through the same calibration. No controls and no panel: the stage picture is the result, and it either looks right or it does not.

Muralista's output step: the same room photographed through the calibration, with the marked surfaces lit on the wall and named on them, and nothing else on the screen.
